Squamish Language Curriculum Developer

As part of the Language and Cultural Affairs team, you will write curriculum for immersion programs and collaborate with Elders to uphold cultural integrity. Your efforts will contribute to the identification and addressing of curriculum needs, promoting language revitalization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and adapt curriculum for language immersion programs
• Conduct research to align curriculum across various departments
• Identify and assess gaps in existing curriculum materials
• Assist with policy formulation for language education programs
• Support program delivery and participate in teaching activities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Curriculum Development or Education
• 5–6 years relevant experience in education and writing
• Strong understanding of effective language instruction
• Ability to establish and maintain community relationships
• Proficiency in Squamish language is advantageous
