The University of British Columbia is seeking a part-time sessional lecturer for WOOD 282. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of wood physics and hold a Ph.D. in Forestry. This role encompasses delivering lectures, conducting experiments, grading, and ensuring student learning through mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Present lectures on wood physics and mechanics
• Facilitate effective laboratory session experiences
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
• Support teaching assistants in their roles
• Hold office hours for student engagement
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Forestry with an emphasis on wood physics
• Background in wood-related experiments
• Undergraduate degree in Wood Science
• Strong organizational and communication skills
