Take the lead as a full-time MACC Teacher for Grades 5-7 at Kerrisdale Elementary School, specializing in gifted education within a unique interdisciplinary framework. Inspire students with creative and critical thinking opportunities.

This esteemed position supports students who are gifted within the District’s multi-age cluster program.

Your role involves close collaboration with educational professionals to create individualized learning experiences, enhance social-emotional development, and implement effective teaching strategies tailored to diverse learner needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead an engaging, advanced curriculum for gifted learners

• Partner with staff and parents to foster student success

• Craft and oversee Individualized Education Plans for unique learning paths

• Integrate project-based learning while promoting autonomy

• Guide students in setting and achieving personal goals

Requirements:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Education

• Experience with gifted education required

• BC Teaching Certificate essential

• Skills in developing IEPs for diverse needs

• Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service
