Position: Pear Tree School STEM Teacher Role
Join Pear Tree School as a full-time STEM Specialist Teacher starting August 2026. Inspire students in Grades 6-9 with hands-on learning while enhancing critical thinking skills.

This role requires a Master's degree in education and involves teaching STEM through a thematic and inquiry-driven curriculum. You will act as a homeroom teacher while applying scientific and mathematical concepts to real-world scenarios, aiding students in becoming effective problem-solvers and thinkers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach STEM across Grades 6/7 or 8/9 within a cohesive program

• Design engaging labs and investigations for student learning

• Help students improve problem-solving skills and creativity

• Maintain a supportive classroom culture aligned with values

• Collaborate with other faculty to ensure integrated learning

Requirements:

• M.Ed. or equivalent degree is essential

• BC Teacher Certification or eligibility is required

• At least three years of experience in middle school teaching

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Focus on providing effective STEM instruction
