Position: West Schools ELL Teacher Needed
Elevate the educational journey of ELL students as a part-time teacher at West Vancouver Schools. This role is vital in providing support to English language learners across various grades.

This 0.5 FTE ELL Teacher position will be offered at Gleneagles Elementary and Westcot Elementary, commencing on September 8, 2026. Candidates must demonstrate collaborative skills and a dedication to employ inclusive pedagogy. A background in applied linguistics and teaching certification for ELL are essential to thrive in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tailor lessons to meet the needs of ELL students

• Work closely with other educators and support staff

• Utilize formative and summative assessment techniques

• Create an inclusive classroom environment respecting cultural differences

• Adapt instruction based on student feedback and needs

Requirements:

• Teacher regulation qualification certificate

• Completed university coursework in applied linguistics

• Familiarity with best classroom practices for ELLs
