The Opportunity We are looking to fill an open role for a Bilingual Learning Development Specialist to join our Business Management team for 14 months. The Specialist reports to the Director, Training & Development and will design, develop, and deliver learning initiatives for the Service, Operations, Compliance and Onboarding (SOCON) teams.
Responsibilities Complete training needs assessments, identify learning gaps and recommend relevant, sustainable learning opportunities.
Formulate training outlines and recommend methodologies using eLearning, instructor‑led, interactive, demonstration, and practical activities.
Develop curriculum in collaboration with subject‑matter experts, including facilitation guides, e‑learning modules, videos, practical exercises, quick reference guides and evaluation materials.
Liaise with subject‑matter experts during design and development to validate content.
Facilitate group and individual training, both virtual and in‑person, covering technical, operational and customer‑service skills.
Develop onboarding programs for new employees and provide mentorship support.
Provide training on time‑sensitive topics (e.g., tax season) proactively.
Evaluate training effectiveness and use data to revise instructional objectives and methods.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Learning & Development or Adult Education.
3+ years experience developing and delivering corporate training initiatives.
Experience in accounting, business, or financial administration is an asset.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and theories, and ability to apply them in design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
High proficiency with Microsoft 365, Articulate 360, LMS and knowledge‑management tools.
Fluent in English and French (written and spoken) to communicate with partners, clients and colleagues across Canada.
