Grade 4 Teacher - Corpus Christi Elementary School

About the Position

Corpus Christi Elementary School is seeking a Grade 4 teacher to join its Catholic community. The role includes teaching within the CISVA Christian Education Curriculum while promoting the spiritual, intellectual, and social development of students.

• Collaborate with colleagues and build positive relationships with students to foster a sense of belonging and connection.
• Nurture students’ cognitive, social, and emotional growth while empowering them to be active agents of their own learning.
• Implement student‑centred, inquiry‑based approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment aligned with the Grade 4 CISVA Christian Education Curriculum and the BC Ministry of Education Curriculum.
• Administer the Foundations Skills Assessment (FSA).
• Work in a short‑term contract with the opportunity for a continuing position.

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate.
• Experience with inquiry‑based, student‑centred instruction.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and maintain positive relationships with students.
• Knowledge of the CISVA Christian Education Philosophy or a background in a faith‑based setting is preferred.
