Advance student well-being as a School Psychologist for grades K-12 in Cranbrook and Elk Valley. This full time temporary role emphasizes psychological assessments and counseling support. This position at School District No. 5 is a full time temporary contract starting September 8, 2026, through June 25, 2027. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with teachers to foster inclusive practices.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and interpret psychological assessments for students
- Provide counseling support to students and staff
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans
- Collaborate with educators on inclusive educational practices
- Maintain confidential records of assessments and interventions
- Registered with the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists
- Degree or training in psychology or education
- Experience with standardized assessments is preferred
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in school settings
