Arts Umbrella is looking for a part time instructor for its vibrant locations in Vancouver and Surrey.

Your role focuses on introducing students to circuits and interactive art while fostering a safe and engaging creative environment. You’ll collaborate closely with the Artistic Director to ensure program alignment and encourage imaginative problem-solving in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create engaging beginner-level programming in creative electronics

• Guide students in making interactive artworks with electrical principles

• Work with Assistants to ensure student safety and participation

• Collaborate with team members to enhance educational objectives

• Communicate with families about class activities and progress

Requirements:

• Education in Visual Arts, Interactive Arts or related field

• Professional experience in creative electronics or art roles

• Strong understanding of Arts Umbrella’s mission

• Experience working with children in educational settings

• Commitment to diversity and inclusion principles
