Position Summary

Canada Royal Arts High School is seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Student Support Coordinator to serve as a key liaison between students, teachers, and families. The successful candidate will provide academic and social-emotional support, assist students in overcoming challenges, and help ensure a positive educational experience for all learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for student support and well-being matters.
  • Build positive relationships with students and provide guidance on academic, personal, and school-related concerns.
  • Act as a liaison between students, teachers, parents, and school administration.
  • Assist in resolving student concerns, conflicts, and challenges in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor student attendance, engagement, and overall well-being.
  • Support new student orientation and integration into the school community.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify and support students who may require additional assistance.
  • Maintain accurate student records, notes, and support documentation.
  • Assist in organizing student activities, workshops, and wellness initiatives.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to student success planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, including written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to remain professional, empathetic, and confidential when handling sensitive situations.
  • Experience working in education, youth services, counseling, student support, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and student wellness practices is an asset.
