ECE Educator Position at Langara College

Langara College is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to provide exceptional care for preschool children and toddlers. Ideal candidates will have an ECE One Year Certificate and a commitment to nurturing young minds in a safe environment.

In this role, the Early Childhood Educator will work under the guidance of the Head Teacher, helping to implement comprehensive developmental programs for various age groups. Experience through practicum is essential, along with knowledge of child care legislation in British Columbia. Your communication skills will be critical in building effective relationships with both children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement instructional and developmental programs for children

• Supervise young children in a nurturing setting

• Establish effective communication with parents and team members

• Ensure a clean and safe learning environment

• Advocate for children's needs and well-being

Requirements:

• ECE One Year Certificate or similar qualification

• Practicum experience in an educational setting

• Solid understanding of child care laws in BC

• Valid First Aid or Emergency certification required

• Successful completion of a criminal records check
