On-Call Math and Science Teacher VSB

Vancouver Board of Education is seeking on-call Math and Science Teachers. Provide critical instructional support for both subjects, enhancing learning for secondary students across the district.

This on-call teaching role at the Vancouver Board of Education is essential for delivering math and science education. You will engage with students, preparing lessons and managing classrooms while available for 50% of instructional days monthly. Your experience and skills will guide students towards academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructional support in math or science

• Prepare engaging lessons and activities for students

• Maintain effective classroom management during lessons

• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback

• Adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent is required

• Undergraduate degree in Mathematics or Science

• Experience teaching Math, Chemistry, Biology, or Physics at secondary level

• Eligible for membership in Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)

• Registered with Teacher Qualification Service (TQS)
