Lead innovative arts education as an Instructor for Creative Electronics at Arts Umbrella. Engage young minds in hands-on learning of electronics and creative expression in a supportive environment.
This part time role is perfect for those passionate about art and technology, working at Arts Umbrella’s Vancouver and Surrey locations. You will develop captivating programming that teaches the basics of circuitry and encourages students to create their own interactive artworks. Collaboration with the Artistic Director and support staff is key to delivering enriching experiences for students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare beginner-level creative electronics programming
• Assist students in creating interactive and kinetic artworks
• Work with Assistants for student engagement and safety
• Support educational goals within a team environment
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress
Requirements:
• Educational background in Interactive Arts or related disciplines
• Experience in creative electronics and maker-based practices
• Strong alignment with Arts Umbrella’s mission and standards
• Experience working with children in arts or educational settings
• Dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion in the arts
