Become an ESL Teacher at ILSC Vancouver Juniors to inspire students aged 10-17 with your language expertise. This part-time role focuses on lesson delivery that meets diverse learning needs.
As part of the Residential Juniors Program at UBC, you will teach 15 hours each week while following the ILSC Curriculum Guidelines. Emphasize student interaction and practical language use in a supportive classroom atmosphere. Your contributions will help students improve their communication skills, fostering confidence and cooperation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans
• Conduct 15 hours of instruction each week
• Utilize various resources for your lessons
• Track student progress and complete required reports
• Assist with the onboarding and evaluation of students
Requirements:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and recognized TESL certificate
• Experience working with students ages 10-17 is essential
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
• Union membership and background check needed
• Passion for student development and language acquisition
