Position: Northeastern Academic Advisor Role
Join Northeastern University as an Academic Advisor, dedicated to guiding undergraduate students through their academic journey. This role focuses on personalized advising strategies and enhancing student retention across campuses.

In this role, under the supervision of the Director of Global Undergraduate Academic Advising, you will provide tailored support to undergraduate students by identifying their unique interests and academic goals. Collaboration with various advising units will be essential to address the needs of at-risk students and facilitate transitions, such as major declarations and course registrations. Additionally, you will contribute to the school’s recruitment initiatives and maintain comprehensive student documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated academic advising to undergraduates

• Help identify and support at-risk students

• Teach the Introduction to College course effectively

• Liaise with departments to improve student services

• Take part in relevant advising committees

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of related experience

• Preferred Master’s Degree in Higher Education or Counseling

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with educational advising processes

• Organizational skills and team collaboration
