This position is responsible for teaching students in an assigned field of study using a diverse set of instruction methods and tools. The position develops curriculum, prepares teaching materials, provides assessments of students’ progress. It ensures the proper stewardship of college facilities, equipment and other inventories. The position is also responsible for upholding the College’s policies and procedures and for participating in meetings and events and on committees.
Responsibilities- Red Seal Certification in the Electrician trade (required), an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field (preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Five years of academic or professional experience related to the courses offered in the department.
- Completion of the Provincial Instructor’s Diploma (PID) (preferred).
- Successful post‑secondary teaching experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated instructional ability.
- Previous experience working with international students or overseas working experience would be considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
