Part-Time Math & Science Tutor

Position: Part-Time Math & Science Tutor Role
Oxford Learning in East Vancouver is hiring a Part-Time Math and Science Tutor to support student learning. Use your passion for education to help students navigate their academic challenges.

As a Teacher-Tutor, you’ll work with students in Grades 9-12 primarily in the evenings and on Saturdays. All lessons are pre-planned, allowing you to focus purely on student engagement and progress. This role requires a commitment through the school year with opportunities for summer sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tutor groups of three students in math and science

• Adhere to Oxford Learning’s teaching philosophy

• Fill out notes and updates post-lesson

• Ensure a friendly, respectful atmosphere for learning

• Foster student confidence and academic success

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant discipline

• One year of teaching or tutoring experience required

• Strong English communication skills essential

• In-depth knowledge of BC math and science curriculum

• Ability to handle multiple students during sessions
