Overview

Vancouver Talmud Torah (VTT) is a school where you will contribute every day. VTT serves a diverse student body aged 3 to 13 and is Western Canada’s largest Jewish community day school with over 100 years of experience. We operate in a modern campus in Vancouver with easy access to major transit.

VTT is currently recruiting Hebrew/Judaic Teachers on Call. This is a great opportunity to get to know our school, campus, culture, and community.

Responsibilities
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of the school through teaching and collaboration.
  • Plan and deliver instruction that differentiates for diverse learners and fosters a collaborative and creative classroom environment.
  • Utilize a wide range of learning strategies and teaching styles to meet student needs.
  • Use technology to enhance the curriculum and learning experiences.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship as part of a culture that values excellence and growth.
  • Contribute to a warm, inclusive, and supportive school community and communicate effectively with colleagues and families.
Qualifications
  • Current TRB Certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education.
  • Knowledge in Judaic studies.
  • Speaks Hebrew.
  • Commitment to children and to supporting their individual learning goals.
  • Skill in differentiating instruction and fostering collaboration and creativity with colleagues.
  • Ability to use a wide range of learning strategies and teaching styles according to student needs.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth.
  • Proficiency using technology to enhance the curriculum.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
