VCC Trades Education Instructor

Lead trades education as a VCC Trades Education Instructor. This role focuses on developing instructional materials and assessing student performance through innovative teaching methods.

The role encompasses teaching trades students using a variety of instructional strategies. The instructor will need to create engaging curricula and monitor the progress of students through different assessments. Active participation in departmental meetings and adherence to VCC’s policies and procedures are fundamental aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures, discussions, and practical demonstrations

• Create and prepare course outlines and materials

• Evaluate students through various assessments and provide feedback

• Assist students in program and career guidance

• Oversee field placements and hands-on learning

Requirements:

• Qualification Certificate in a trade discipline

• Master's degree in Adult Education

• Minimum of 5 years trade experience at Certificate of Qualification status

• At least 5 years in a teaching role at the post-secondary level

• Familiarity with competency frameworks and education technologies
