UBC Sessional Lecturer in Indigenous Studies

Join the University of British Columbia as a part-time Sessional Lecturer for the Bachelor of Indigenous Land Stewardship. You will engage students in ILS 203:

This position requires facilitating a rich learning environment for students at UBC's Vancouver campus, blending online and in-person lectures. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in public engagement and knowledge mobilization, bringing together communication theory and practice to enhance student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach in-person and online lectures effectively

• Guide discussions focused on professional communication skills

• Create and grade assignments to assess student understanding

• Provide timely and constructive feedback

• Maintain regular office hours for student engagement

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent

• Experience teaching communication or related fields

• Must reside in Canada during the appointment
