Join the Vancouver School Board as an Adult Education English Instructor, working to empower students at South Hill Education Center. Flexible teaching slots available in the evenings and afternoons.
The Vancouver School Board is excited to hire qualified Adult Education English Instructors from September to November 2026. In this role, you'll instruct students from foundational to secondary levels, helping them navigate their educational paths. Evening slots run from Mondays to Thursdays, while afternoon classes operate from Mondays to Fridays, providing various scheduling options. Contribute to an environment that values Indigenous perspectives in the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct adult students in English coursework
• Prepare and implement engaging lesson plans
• Assess student progress and modify teaching strategies
• Foster an inclusive classroom for diverse learners
• Collaborate with other educators for curriculum enhancement
Requirements:
• Degree in English and relevant coursework
• Bachelor of Education is mandatory
• Recent experience in Secondary English teaching
• Eligible for registration with Teacher Qualification Service
• Submit 3 professional references
