Part-Time School Age Educator

Become a part-time School Age Educator with the Vancouver Society of Children's Centres. Engage children aged 5 to 12 in enriching activities while fostering their development in a supportive environment.

In this role, you will report to the Program Supervisor and focus on implementing creative activities and educational programs tailored to children's needs. Your responsibilities will include guiding children, planning activities, and ensuring a safe environment. Collaborating with families and promoting positive self-concepts among children are also key aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and evaluate activities for school-age children

• Implement educational programming focusing on various skills

• Guide and care for groups of children effectively

• Maintain safety protocols within the environment

• Foster communication with parents and teachers

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 and minimum 19 years of age

• 20 hours of training in child development or related fields

• Six months of relevant experience

• First Aid and Food Safe certification

• Strong teaching and interpersonal skills
