Lower Grades Teacher Waldorf School

Become part of the Vancouver Waldorf School as a Lower Grades Teacher for Grades 1 and 2. Engage students through Waldorf curriculum in a full-time teaching role starting in the 2026–2027 school year.

This full-time role emphasizes teaching Math, English Language Arts, and Science, nurturing a love of learning in young students. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Waldorf education, alongside skills in classroom leadership and collaboration. The position involves performance assessments, effective communication with families, and participation in school events and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach daily lessons in core subjects

• Maintain a nurturing and organized classroom environment

• Assess student progress with reports and documentation

• Communicate with families at conferences

• Participate in faculty meetings and school events

Requirements:

• BC Teaching Certificate with 3 years of experience

• Waldorf Teacher Training Certificate or willingness to train

• Experience in lower grades preferred

• Fluent in English with strong collaboration skills

• Commitment to ongoing professional development
