JOB DESCRIPTION

St. Joseph's School in Vancouver is seeking a Learning Support teacher and coordinator for the  school year. Our ideal candidate would be an individual who cares deeply about their students, works collaboratively with their colleagues and other professionals, and contributes to a positive and inclusive school environment. We are seeking a candidate with a working understanding of Individualized Education Plans, Safety Plans, curricular adaptations, and working with students with diverse abilities.

This individual would also act as the coordinator of our Learning Support department, so they are required to be someone with experience with file management, supporting families and teachers, and facilitating a variety of professionals working together as a team.

• Criminal Record Check (if you're outside of BC)
• Resume
• Proof of Eligibility to Work in Canada (Canadian Birth Certificate, Canadian Citizenship Card, Permanent Residence, Work Permit, etc.)
• Catholic Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
• University Transcripts
• Teacher Evaluations or Practicum Reports – (only for recent graduates - within the last 3 years)
• Applicant Declaration for Catholics or Applicant Declaration for Non-Catholics (please upload this under additional documents)
• Teacher Applicant Consent Form (please upload this under additional documents)

• Two (2) Professional Reference Letters (dated within the last year to be sent by you to your referee. Once completed, it should be sent directly by your referee to  )
• Verification of Teaching Experience (We will also accept copies of the Verification of Teaching Experience forms that you have submitted to the BC Ministry of Education)
• Catholic Pastoral Reference or Non-Catholic Pastoral Reference (dated within the last year)

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year.
