Long Term Occasional English Teacher

Join the Upper Grand District School Board as a Long Term Occasional English Teacher for three sections. Support secondary education in Orangeville while contributing to student success.

This position is designed for a dynamic educator ready to provide high-quality instruction during a temporary vacancy. As part of the UGDSB, you will support student achievement in accordance with Ontario's Ministry of Education standards. The assignment is set to commence on September 2, 2026, and will conclude no later than February 2, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging English lessons to secondary students

• Collaborate with fellow educators to support curriculum goals

• Maintain continuous high-quality education during teacher absence

• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly

• Support student well-being in line with Board Policies

Requirements:

• Intermediate/Senior English teaching qualification

• Ability to meet Ontario Ministry of Education standards

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

• Commitment to fostering a diverse learning environment

• Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to employment
