UBC ORCA Role for Invigilators

As an ORCA Invigilator, you will play a critical role in ensuring a fair testing environment. This position requires you to verify student identities, assist with technical difficulties, and manage potential academic misconduct. Reliability and professionalism are essential traits for successfully overseeing assessments within the ORCA Centre’s timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor students and ensure exam integrity

• Address technical problems with ORCA equipment

• Report issues via designated Slack channels

• Prepare testing rooms to be comfortable and orderly

• Assist with logistical tasks as directed by staff

Requirements:

• Must be a UBC student enrolled in relevant programs

• Strong commitment to diversity and equity

• Ability to reach campus within 1.5 hours

• Flexible scheduling to meet operational needs

• Clear verbal communication skills for announcements
