The University of British Columbia (UBC) is inviting applications for a Professor in Bacteriophage Biology & Evolution. Applicants should possess a PhD, postdoctoral experience, and a robust research record. The successful candidate will spearhead innovative research, mentor students, and engage in teaching while contributing significantly to UBC’s interdisciplinary Prepare for Pandemics through Advanced Research in Evolution (PrePARE) cluster.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead a cutting-edge research program
• Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in microbiology
• Collaborate with diverse faculty across multiple departments
• Participate in service to the academic community
Requirements:
• PhD in relevant field and postdoctoral experience
• Strong publication record in bacteriophage or related areas
• Demonstrated research excellence with funding success
