Business College Instructor (E-Commerce)
Van West College invites applicants who are available and interested in teaching our E-Commerce course at the Vancouver campus.
Instructors will guide students in examining how the Internet is rapidly becoming one of the primary communication, marketing, and commercial media for businesses in almost every industry, and how managers can effectively use this tool to execute their organization's strategic plans. This course will familiarize students with current and emerging internet-based electronic commerce business models and technologies. They will discuss topics such as competitive strategies with e-commerce, various e-business models, and how to manage B2C or B2B commerce projects.
Our academic terms run every 8 weeks. Classes are delivered in 3.5-hour blocks (Monday–Friday) during our 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule (see below). Each course requires 56 hours of in-class, instructor-led delivery per term. The total contract amount payable for each course is $1792.00-$1960.00, plus taxes if applicable.
The next term begins on:
Aug 31st, 2026 (For 8 weeks)
- Relevant industry experience of ten years OR;
- Degree or Certificate in E-Commerce training AND
relevant industry experience of at least two years total
--creating/managing an existing e-commerce system for one or preferably more businesses. - Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal).
- Proficient organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and in a multicultural collaborative team setting.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
