ILSC Summer ESL Teacher

Position: ILSC Summer ESL Teacher Role
Teach and inspire students at ILSC's Summer Juniors Residential Program located at UBC in Vancouver. Focus on enhancing English language skills for ages 10-17.

This part-time ESL Teacher role runs from June 29 to August 7, 2026, with training scheduled between June 22-26, 2026. Candidates will conduct 15 hours of instruction each week, from Monday to Friday mornings. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while following the ILSC Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans that cater to various language needs

• Facilitate 15 hours of English instruction weekly

• Assess and document student progress as assigned

• Encourage a culture of self-expression among students

• Engage with the Centre Director for performance evaluations

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree and a TESL certification

• Previous experience teaching ages 10-17 is essential

• Authorization to work in Canada without restrictions

• Required criminal record check and immunization reports

• Union membership is compulsory
