As a member of the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (EOAS), you will develop a distinguished research program while teaching undergraduate and graduate students. Your work will involve high-precision U-Pb methodologies and engage with significant geological timelines and processes, including tectonics and mineral deposits. With extensive analytical resources available, you will have unique opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Launch and maintain a research program in geochronology
• Mentor students and oversee research projects
• Educate students through targeted undergraduate and graduate courses
• Support the development of PCIGR and its technical framework
• Engage in service to the department and community
Requirements:
• PhD in Earth Sciences, completed by appointment start
• Expertise in igneous or metamorphic processes
• Demonstrated excellence in U-Pb geochronology
• Record of research contributions and funding potential
• Vision for promoting equity and diversity in academia
