Position: Langara College Bioinformatics Role
Join Langara College in Vancouver, B.C. as a Bioinformatics Instructor and influence students in the fields of proteomics and metabolomics through comprehensive teaching practices.

This part-time, fixed-term position focuses on establishing a micro-credential program that emphasizes essential bioinformatics concepts and techniques. You will develop courses covering proteomics workflows, mass spectrometry, and statistical analysis, carefully guiding student learning and application through hands-on projects. The role supports a diverse, innovative, and collegial educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement a bioinformatics course curriculum

• Prepare learning materials and instructional content

• Hold office hours to support student learning

• Evaluate student progress and provide actionable feedback

• Collaborate on program development initiatives

Requirements:

• MSc in Bioinformatics, or a related area;
PhD preferred

• Preferred experience in post-secondary instruction

• Experience with proteomics and data interpretation

• Excellent oral and written communication capabilities

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
