Position: Permanent Supervision Aide at VSB
Join the Vancouver School Board as a Permanent Supervision Aide, supervising students and ensuring safety during lunch and recess. This part-time position emphasizes outdoor monitoring and conflict resolution.

As a Permanent Supervision Aide, you'll work 2.5 hours daily at various elementary schools, including Nightingale, Douglas, and Queen Mary. In this role, your primary focus will be on student safety, adherence to school rules, and resolving conflicts to foster a positive environment.

Experience with children in large groups and strong communication skills are essential!

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students indoors and outdoors during lunch and recess

• Ensure compliance with school rules and student safety

• Intervene in unsafe play situations and facilitate conflict resolution

• Monitor student behavior and assist with teacher assignments

• Remain alert while walking and standing throughout shifts

Requirements:

• Experience working with large groups of children

• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

• Ability to work in all weather conditions

• Language skills for ESL support are an asset
