Part-Time String Orchestra Teacher

Vancouver Christian School is seeking an enthusiastic string orchestra teacher to lead its strings program.
This role offers 40-60% FTE and focuses on providing exceptional instruction in string instruments. The ideal candidate will integrate Christian values into their teaching while fostering a supportive classroom environment and preparing students for various performances.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach individual and ensemble classes for grades 3 to 12
• Prepare students for performances, festivals, and assessments
• Collaborate with faculty to enhance the music program
• Maintain and manage instruments and resources
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom experience
Requirements:
• Teaching certificate from the BC Ministry of Education
• Proficiency in string instrumentation and ensemble direction
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in music education
• Commitment to VCS's Christian mission and values
• Familiarity with BC curriculum
