Supervisory Recreation Programmer

Drive community engagement with the City of Vancouver as a Recreation Programmer II. Lead recreation programming for preschool and children's initiatives at West End Community Centre.

This supervisory role coordinates community recreation programs for younger audiences. You will oversee Daycamps, work alongside the CCA Children’s Coordinator, and ensure effective implementation of recreation events. Your expertise will guide program development, staff recruitment, and participant engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate preschool and children's recreation programs

• Recruit and supervise part-time staff and volunteers

• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and attendance

• Maintain administrative records and prepare program evaluations

• Schedule and allocate space for activities at community centers

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Recreation or related field

• Significant experience in community recreation programming

• Knowledge of recreational policies and community engagement

• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Ability to work with diverse community groups
