Support students at Seaside Elementary School as an Education Assistant, using behaviour management and individual program support skills. This permanent full-time position starts immediately.
The Vancouver School Board seeks a fully qualified Education Assistant for School and Student Support
A. You will implement individual programs, monitor student progress, and support students with diverse abilities. The work includes social and emotional support, community-based programming, instructional materials, and parent engagement.
- Implement individual programs under senior team direction
- Evaluate and maintain student progress records
- Support parent workshops, events, and community agencies
- Manage acting-out behaviour and disciplinary concerns
- Support field trips, activities, and community programming
- Grade 12 completion
- Recognized Education Assistant program and related experience
- Experience supporting students with diverse abilities
- Knowledge of behaviour management and educational psychology
- English communication skills and lifting ability
