District Energy Utility Operator Position

Become a District Energy Utility Operator focused on maintaining energy systems in the Lower Mainland. Oversee operational performance using SCADA for optimal energy utility services.

This critical role requires a 4th Class Power Engineer with at least two years of experience in mechanical equipment maintenance. You will collaborate with the Area Supervisor to maximize operational excellence while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting safety assessments to prevent incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control district energy systems performance

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks

• Troubleshoot and repair all site equipment

• Conduct site hazard assessments and inspections

• Provide after-hours emergency response support

Requirements:

• 4th Class Power Engineer certification

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical equipment

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

• SCADA and HMI experience preferred

• First Aid Level I certification is advantageous
