Become a vital part of Corix as a District Energy Utility Operator in Vancouver, BC. This role focuses on operating energy systems and ensuring reliable service while embracing on-the-job training.

Corix manages the Burnaby Mountain District Energy Utility, turning wood waste into clean energy for SFU and Univer City. As a 4th Class Power Engineer, you will monitor plant operations, maintain equipment, and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Your hands-on approach will support environmental goals while providing valuable experience in district energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and adjust plant systems for operational safety and efficiency

• Operate and maintain equipment across energy facilities and underground distribution

• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize system reliability

• Conduct health and safety assessments for workers and visitors

• Maintain detailed accurate records within the CMMS

Requirements:

• Valid 4th Class Power Engineer certification

• At least 2 years of mechanical equipment experience

• Class 5 driver's license required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
