Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a dedicated Second Class Shift Engineer to join their Power Plant team. In this role, you will manage high-pressure, high-temperature operations while providing leadership to Assistant Engineers. Your technical skills will be crucial in delivering consistent energy operations and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and maintain thermal power plant machinery
• Provide direction to Assistant Shift Engineers and coordinate tasks
• Operate boilers, turbines, and feed water pumps efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety acts during operations
• Maintain comprehensive records of power generation activities
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education with five years’ relevant experience
• Must possess Second Class Power Engineer's Certificate
• Strong leadership and delegation skills
• Ability to interpret engineering diagrams
• Physical capability to perform the job's duties
