Chief Engineer

Lead and mentor the engineering team, providing hands‑on training and development for junior staff.

Oversee daily operations and preventative maintenance of all building systems (HVAC, boilers, chillers, plumbing, electrical, and life safety).

Troubleshoot and resolve complex, long‑standing maintenance challenges with a solutions‑focused approach.

Manage vendor relationships, coordinate capital projects, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Monitor energy consumption and implement sustainability initiatives where possible.

Develop departmental budgets, track costs, and ensure long‑term protection of the hotel’s assets.

Technically adaptable across legacy and varied building systems.

Strong team leadership with the ability to train and develop junior staff.

Resilient and solutions‑focused
, able to tackle persistent operational challenges.

Experience as a Chief Engineer, Director of Engineering, or Engineering Manager in a hotel or resort environment.

Mechanical engineering or 4th Class Power Engineer certification (preferred, not required).

Demonstrated success in managing both technical systems and team development.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
