Department Overview
The Reliability Department is responsible for monitoring and improving product performance. The Reliability team evaluates field returns by analyzing failures, identifying root cause and tracking reliability trends to prevent recurrence. The team provides feedback to design, manufacturing and quality teams to improve product quality, reduce failure rates, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Job Description
This position is based in Vancouver, BC and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area as you will be required to go into the office.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Receive, sort, debug and report errors on escalations
Debug and analyze field failures
Investigate product return failures from newly launched products
Investigate root cause(s) of NFF (no fault found) product returns
Analyze returns data to identify product performance improvement opportunities
Generate and publish reports
Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting activities as required
Work with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates
Collaborate with the manufacturing team to address manufacturing improvements in order to reduce field failures
Present failure modes to Engineering teams
Provide technical training to technicians and repair staff
Recommend steps to improve product reliability
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Hardware Test Engineer with a solid understanding of HW and FW interaction
Experience with analyzing data, identifying trends and presenting conclusions concisely
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality requirements
Preferred background in electro-mechanical hardware design and development
Prior experience with cameras or photography and understanding of camera sensor and lens operation is preferred
Experience (installation, use or manufacturing) with CCTV products is an asset
Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel)
Detail oriented, well organized, good communicator, able to multitask
Salary
Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 CAD
Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate in accordance with applicable law and company policy.
Basic Requirements
Bachelors degree with 4+ years of experience or Masters degree with less than 1 year of experience in electrical or computer engineering
