BC Building Science seeks a Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join our team. The role focuses on energy engineering including modeling and commissioning for new and existing buildings. You will be supervised by a senior professional engineer.

CA $90,000.00/yr – CA$/yr

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer in BC (P.Eng.).
• Minimum 3 years full‑time experience with IES‑VE and/or building HVAC system field review/commissioning.
• Full understanding of local building codes, construction methods, materials, and detailed drawings.
• Skilled in technical writing and excellent written and oral communication.
• Excellent team player.
• Creative thinker with high attention to detail.

• Perform energy modelling for residential, commercial and institutional buildings.
• Execute commissioning of building HVAC systems during design and construction phases.
• Prepare thermal bridging and thermal performance analysis.
• Communicate and maintain ongoing design and construction correspondence with Developers, Designers, Contractors, and Architects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
