Chemical Process Scientist II
Ink Operations Full Time Vancouver, BC $85,000 - $100,000 CAD per year
We’re looking for a hands-on Chemical Process Scientist II to help scale and optimize the production of advanced ink formulations used in our electrochromic technologies. You’ll play a key role in translating lab-scale chemistry into reliable, high-quality production processes that support our commercial growth. This role blends technical expertise with process ownership, offering the opportunity to drive improvements in product quality, operational efficiency, and chemical manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end chemical production, including operator training, scheduling, and reactor system maintenance
- Create and maintain SOPs and production documentation
- Develop tools to support data acquisition and maintain the production database
- Analyze production results and monitor KPIs to ensure product consistency and drive improvements
- Maintain complete batch records and a detailed lab notebook
- Manage raw material inventory to meet production and quality demands
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized chemistry lab and production workspace
- Education:
BS or MS in Chemistry or a related discipline (e.g., Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science) - Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in chemical processing or production - Thorough knowledge of analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, FT-IR, TGA, NMR, KF, and GC-MS
- Strong commitment to laboratory safety and safe handling of chemicals
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities
- Self-starter with strong accountability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and design
- Creative thinker with an agile mindset and willingness to take initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to cross-functional teams
- Comfortable collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- High regard for workplace safety and commitment to company policies, including Quality Assurance and OHSE standards
- This position requires full-time, in-office presence at our Olympic Village locations.

Compensation:The posted range for this position is CAD $85,000 – CAD $100,000, representing the expected starting base salary for candidates from entry-level proficiency in the role through to fully proficient.
