Wärtsilä Energy Business is looking for a Senior
Supply Quality Expert (SQE) in China, in a Global Supply Quality Assurance
, within the Supplier Development & Quality department for the Energy Storage business. The role will be part of the Supply Management group. Preferable position is based in Suzhou, China.

What will you be doing?

For the global Energy Storage supplier base, the Senior Supply Quality Expert is responsible for the product quality assurance and control at suppliers as well as for suppliers’ compliance and continuous improvement of performance in terms of quality, delivery accuracy, Suppliers' Non-conformity cost reduction, and productivity improvements to ensure conformance with product and project requirements as well as first time right deliveries.

As an SQE
, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Auditing of the suppliers’ production process
• Ensuring Continuous Improvement on the supplier performance
• Establishing Inspection and Testing Plans with suppliers
• Verifying implementation and compliance to Quality requirements and Instructions by inspections according to Inspection and Testing Plans
• Review/approve qualification documents such as DFMEAs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, FAIs, FATs, etc.
• Evaluating/monitoring RCA/CAPA for implementation and effectiveness
• Supporting product team/development on quality and inspection for Prototype and serial products
• Attending FAT at the supplier when needed / upon request, and developing the FAT performance of the suppliers

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• 5+ years’ experience in Supplier Quality Assurance and/or quality experience in power systems, renewables or energy storage industry;
  Electrical/automation background is a necessity.
• Inspection and Testing experience on Electrical products
• Product and process auditing experience, management system auditing experience with ISO 9001 or similar is preferred. Furthermore, the ability to interpret and understand electrical (and mechanical) drawings will be perceived as an advantage
• Excellent Production process and Design for Manufacturability knowledge
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with numerous parties at all levels in a multicultural environment.
• Familiar with analytical techniques commonly used to investigate component defects and ability to deal with administrative as well as technical tasks.
• Strong bias for action and results orientation is critical
• Continuous improvement mindset is seen as an advantage
• Individual must be self-driven and self-motivated to learn and use that knowledge to produce results
