The Company


Globe 24-7 is partnering with a mining client in British Columbia, Canada to hire an experienced Environmental Field Coordinator.

Position Overview

The Environmental Field Coordinator supports the delivery of environmental monitoring, permitting, and compliance programs by organizing and carrying out daily field activities such as inspections, sampling, and data collection in accordance with regulatory obligations and project requirements.

Working in coordination with consultants, contractors, and site personnel, this role assists with implementation of environmental management programs, manages field schedules and work procedures, and helps ensure adherence to environmental approvals, legislation, and safety expectations. Responsibilities include oversight of field service providers, upkeep of monitoring and sampling equipment, preparation of field records and reports, and support for environmental awareness and compliance training.

The position operates in a rotational, site-based setting and contributes directly to key project objectives while maintaining high standards of environmental performance and workplace safety.

The Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Demonstrates strong professional conduct and promotes organizational values related to safety, accountability, and performance.
  • Plans and coordinates environmental assessment and permitting field work in cooperation with consultants and site operations, logistics, safety, and project teams.
  • Develops and manages field activity schedules and work methods to meet environmental and regulatory obligations.
  • Supports enforcement of environmental approvals and workplace safety requirements through routine oversight.
  • Performs site inspections to verify compliance and encourage use of sound environmental practices.
  • Carries out environmental sampling activities in support of monitoring and assessment programs.
  • Selects, operates, and maintains environmental monitoring and sampling equipment.
  • Prepares routine summaries and activity reports for daily and weekly field operations.
  • Ensures change management processes are properly followed and recorded.
  • Applies basic project controls and planning methods when overseeing field tasks and deliverables.
  • Reviews technical information and documentation to assist with environmental programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Provides guidance on environmental procedures and controls to support adherence to applicable laws and permits.
  • Directs contractor activities and oversees daily work execution and performance.
  • Delivers environmental and compliance orientation and awareness sessions for contractors and site visitors.
  • Compiles and evaluates field data to detect trends and support ongoing compliance.
  • Maintains open communication with supervisors and peers to foster teamwork and effective working relationships.
  • Performs additional tasks as required to support site and project objectives.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safe work practices and encourages others to uphold high standards for health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field such as hydrology, environmental science, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a comparable discipline, or possesses an equivalent mix of education and practical experience.
  • Professional certification or the ability to obtain professional registration is viewed as an advantage.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in environmental support, project coordination, or related roles.
  • Prior exposure to mining, energy, or large-scale industrial operations is preferred.
  • Proven ability to solve problems effectively while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and building productive working relationships.
  • Displays strong ethical standards, professional integrity, and a genuine interest in contributing to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Highly developed planning, documentation, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable using standard office and business software applications.
  • Capable of working effectively within a diverse and multicultural workforce.
