We are seeking an enthusiastic electronics designer that is a problem‑solver, eager to rise to the challenges of a continuously evolving technological industry, and wants to make an impact on the safety of people and businesses globally.
Responsibilities- Developing innovative products alongside mechanical, firmware, purchasing and testing teams
- Designing high‑speed digital and power supply circuits including component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation
- Testing, characterizing, analyzing, and troubleshooting electronic PCBAs and systems
- Rapid prototyping and testing of new circuit ideas using workbench tools and test equipment
- Designing and testing for compliance with EMC and safety regulations
- Supporting production and products in the field
- Creating and maintaining PCB design files, JIRA tickets, design and test documentation, and bills of materials
- 2+ years of experience in electronic design or validation
- Hands‑on skills including soldering, prototyping and using test equipment
- Pragmatic approach to problem solving with ability to improvise
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self‑motivated and able to learn quickly and work well within a team environment
This position is based in Vancouver, BC and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area as they will be required to work in the office anywhere from 2‑5 days per week as projects require.
Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 – 90,000 CAD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
