This full-time role is pivotal for UBC's Energy and Water Services team. As a Power Engineer, you will oversee the daily operations of Thermal Energy Plants, working with experienced engineers to ensure adherence to safety regulations. Your expertise in troubleshooting and operational management will be essential to deliver high-quality energy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations and perform equipment maintenance

• Conduct safety inspections and execute lockout procedures

• Maintain accurate operational statistics and logs

• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical challenges

• Support training initiatives for staff skill enhancement

Requirements:

• Interprovincial Fourth Class Power Engineer Certification preferred

• Background in industrial process management

• Experience with hydraulic and water treatment systems

• BC Class 5 or 7 Driver's License in good standing

• Proficient with communication technologies
