Hatch is seeking a qualified Senior Structural Engineer to join the Hydropower team, contributing across various projects in British Columbia and beyond. This role emphasizes client liaison, regional marketing efforts, and the opportunity to mentor junior engineers. Candidates will leverage their extensive experience in structural engineering, particularly within hydropower and dams, to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead hydropower projects in British Columbia and Canada
• Handle client communications and regional marketing initiatives
• Supervise and mentor engineering teams, ensuring quality standards
• Conduct dam safety reviews and regulatory compliance assessments
• Design and analyze water structures, including concrete dams
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in civil/structural engineering or higher
• 10-15 years of structural engineering experience
• Proficiency in ANSYS and structural analysis software
• Licensed engineer with EGBC
• Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards
