Intermediate Engineer - Power Distribution at WSP

Join WSP as an Intermediate Distribution Line Engineer and drive the evolution of power delivery systems in British Columbia. Engage in developing innovative designs for overhead and underground lines.

In this role, you’ll leverage 5-10 years of industry experience to support projects that influence how energy is maintained and delivered. Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders, you'll take on essential tasks that ensure safe and reliable energy infrastructure, with plenty of opportunities for mentoring and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create designs for a range of utility projects including reconfigurations

• Collaborate with clients and project managers on project execution

• Perform thorough quality reviews of engineering designs

• Assist in construction documentation and equipment sizing

• Conduct field visits and support during project construction

Requirements:

• P.ENG in British Columbia or nearing licensure

• 5-10 years in distribution line design (4kV–35kV)

• Experience with non-linear design software like SPIDAcalc

• Strong knowledge of utility standards and load calculations

• Ability to balance safety, cost, and performance effectively
