As Senior Mineral Processing Engineer, you will support the design, operation, optimization, and scale‑up of advanced lithium processing systems, with a focus on pilot‑scale and commercial process development.
This role is highly hands‑on and suited to an engineer who enjoys solving complex operational and technical challenges within mineral and chemical processing environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the optimization and continuous improvement of spodumene processing circuits, including leaching, separation, and impurity removal
- Supporting pilot plant commissioning, troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and operational improvements
- Translating laboratory‑scale results into scalable industrial processes
- Contributing to metallurgical test programs, pilot campaigns, and feasibility studies
- Developing and reviewing process engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and equipment specifications
- Applying process simulation and modeling tools to optimize plant performance
- Analyzing operational data to improve lithium recovery, throughput, and efficiency
- Establishing performance metrics and reporting systems across pilot operations
- Supporting technology transfer and scale‑up from pilot to commercial deployment
- Promoting strong safety, environmental, and operational standards across all activities
We are looking for an experienced mineral processing engineer with strong technical expertise and a practical, hands‑on approach.
You will bring:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of industrial experience in mineral and/or chemical processing
- Strong expertise in lithium extraction and spodumene processing technologies
- Experience across hydrometallurgy, flotation, leaching, and separation systems
- Proven experience supporting pilot plants, R&D programs, and process scale‑up
- Familiarity with process simulation and modeling tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast‑paced scale‑up or startup environment
- Professional Engineering designation, or eligibility, is considered an asset
