Utilize your expertise as a Structural Plans Examiner at Interwest Consulting Group. This role offers the chance to work on varied projects while ensuring city and state law compliance.
We seek a motivated Structural Skilled Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in structural design and plan review. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of California Codes and structural design techniques. You will engage with inspectors, help resolve unique compliance concerns, and review plans and permits systematically.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure project plans meet legal requirements
- Evaluate building permits for compliance issues
- Provide support to inspectors in complex cases
- Build positive relationships with team and clients
- Communicate design deficiencies effectively
- Required Structural Professional Engineer license
- Mandatory CASp certification
- ICC Building Plan Review certifications preferred
- Clean driver’s license history
- 5+ years of structural design experience
